Exigence – an issue that motivates someone speak up about the problem/topic (e.g. An essay written about Gun control).

I honestly thought this was the most difficult since to me personally relates to purpose. I would say in my first ever writing that I was supposed to include exigence was not so great. It was my blender assignment in my assignment I stated

“I wrote about this because it’s not just a major social issue but it’s also a national issue, it’s my exigence”

This wasn’t a really great exigence I thought to myself, it seemed more like my purpose in writing the essay. So what I actually did was search it up to see what I can find to better understand exigence and get a better idea of it. After this, I got a better understanding of what exigence is. In my Argumentative essay I stated

“Former president didn’t do much to stop the stereotypes or correct himself. This is my Exigence…”

This was a way better exigence than I had before when I started this class. It’s well improved and it’s a good example of an Exigence. Im really proud of myself that I was able to better understand exigence.
